New York Times Academic Pass
Bowdoin College Library provides complimentary access to The New York Times Education Subscription for all employees with a bowdoin.edu email address, using Okta single sign-on. *
* Note: If you already have a nytimes.com account, please see below.
From a web browser, go to nytimes.com, click Login, and select "Continue with work or school single sign-on" at the bottom of the login page.
If you have any problems, please contact NYTimes help at edu@nytimes.com or 1-800-698-4637.
If you currently have a nytimes.com account, login to your NYT account from a web browser with your current login method. Then go to Account > Email and Settings > click "Connect" next to Work or School.

SSO login via mobile apps is not yet supported. Traditional login methods still work for SSO-activated users. If you experience an interruption in your mobile NYT access, follow the steps for an existing user in a web browser to link your Bowdoin SSO to your NYT account.
The Education Subscription does not include access to cooking.nytimes.com and the cooking app.
Recipes saved under a personal subscription should be available to you, provided you have linked your account to Bowdoin's SSO.
Bonus subscriptions are not available under the Education Subscription. They are included only with paid personal subscriptions.
The Education Subscription does NOT include Premium Crosswords, the New York Times Crosswords apps, e-reader editions, or Times Premier content. Within the date range 1923-1980, PDFs are limited. For full access to the New York Times from 1923-1980, please use ProQuest Historical Newspapers: The New York Times.
